So I have been thinking about getting Lasik for my eyes for a while now, but was very undecided. The first time I went for a free consultation, I did not have a good experience because they wanted me to sign a wavier to give up my right to pursue legal action against them if the surgery fails. I was so happy to hear that Inland Eye Institute does not do that. To me, that meant that the doctor here (Dr. Blanton) was confident about his skills. During my first consultation, I saw how detailed oriented Dr. Blanton's team was. They took multiple measurements of my eyes and even dilated my eyes so that they could ensure that my eyes were good candidates for Lasik. Dr. Blanton had a great "bedside" manner and answered all of my questions professionally. That put me at ease for the surgery. And just as expected, the day of my Lasik went very smoothly. Dr. Blanton followed the gold standard of care and checked my eyes twice after the surgery to make sure that my flaps were placed back properly. I am still healing, so I do see glares and halos at night, which I heard it's quite normal for up to 3 months or more. But during the days, I can see almost perfectly and don't need glasses at all to see. Of course, you should always wear sunglasses when you go out during the days. I even bought a clear sunglasses to help reduce the light sensitivity when I am indoor or doing work on the computers or even reading. Overall, this is a great place where you can get high-quality Lasik. Did I mention that they also do price-matching? So if you got a better offer somewhere else, they will try to match that same deal for you.
